feeling sick
Just had the dreaded letter from the mortgage company: come November our fixed rate deal ends, they want to offload us and if we stay the monthly charge goes up by £300.
Rich hasn't been working for a year and has his fees to pay. Who in their right mind is going to give us a better deal?

*hugs*
I remember when Gilly and I were on an annual adjustable and our rate jumped back in '89/'90 (just after mortgages touched 20% for a day!). We got the notice when we came back from a holiday... ugh!
Gilly went out and worked as a waitress in the evenings to supplement her day job and I pretty much became a hermit doing nothing social or fun (at least, nothing that cost even a few quid) for six months until we had a handle on it. It was a rough year but we got on top of it eventually and it gave us both a better insight into managing our money (tough love - and we didn't feel that way at the time).
Keep us posted - we'll hope something works out for you...
