In fact, I am waiting to be called back to be told that it was a mistake and actually they *aren't* going to fund my laser treatment.
But right now, I am *smiling*.
Have been so busy I'm done in with the stress of it all. Have spent the last week dealing with my SAD and being trained, and then having to tell Rich that I really had failed my certification exam and no I didn't need to open the results email I got sent to know that. I mean, if you do nearly everything on the paper and you reboot the box just to see if all the services and changes have stuck and find you have a corrupt filesystem at /var just before the examiner says time's up, you can pretty much bet you'll be awarded a big fat F.
Oh well, there's always the re-take.
He's spent today lounging around going through his record collection, whittling it down to a reasonable amount. We've got a specialist vinyl dealer literally round the corner so it'll be nice to pass it on to them and hopefully make some cash in the process. It's all his old 12" stuff he used to dj with in falmouth so it's been really cool to see him reminisce about those days.
Then there was the funeral of Ian's father. Well he was still my father in law and someone who was part of my life for over 10 years and I wanted to pay my respects. It was hard, but probably not as hard as it could have been. The family were lovely. I mean we've been separated for a few years now but I still had cousins come up and ask me how I was. Seeing Dave and Lynne again was just brilliant. It was a while ago but I remember the last time I saw Syd, it was in Brighton and we sat in the Royal Albion Hotel having a drink and just chatting. It's great to have some fond memories to remember him by.
Time goes by so quickly it seems. We're talking about finding something to do for New Year yet it seems like a couple of months have passed since the last one, not 12. Rich has 6 months left at college and we've been in London for 4 already. I don't know where the time goes these days...
...and another moody get of a boyfriend. Same shit, different course.
Sigh.
